testing at all P&G facilities and their contractor's facilities
PLEASE CROSS POST AND FORWARD TO ALL
EMAIL LISTS AND ACTIVISTS Fellow Activists, The International Day of Action
against Procter and Gamble is Saturday May 19th, 2007. This is a very important event because the P&G
corporation is a major slaughterer of animals using, at one point, over
50,000 animals per year in cruel testing. This testing puts toxic
chemicals into the eyes of fully conscious rabbits. The same chemicals
are force fed to rats and mice and placed onto the shaved/raw skin of
guinea pigs. Additionally, we have recently found that studies at
P&G have subjected dogs to painful procedures without benefit of
anesthesia. During 2004, the most recent period for which government
reports are available, 4 dogs were used in Repeat Dose Toxicity studies.
These tests are used for pharmaceutical evaluation. However, the use of
animals in pharmaceutical testing has been questioned: "Currently, nine out of ten experimental drugs fail in
clinical studies because we cannot accurately predict how they will
behave in people based on laboratory and animal studies" "Consider just one stark statistic: Today, nine out of
10 compounds developed in the lab fail in human studies. They fail, in
large part because they behave differently in people than they did in
animal or laboratory tests." Right now one of the most important things we can do
is to continue to educate consumers about the suffering of animals for
P&G products and the fact that they don't have to support these
atrocities. Many corporations now make consumer products without the use
of animal-based safety testing and these products are available in many
of the same locations as P&G products. We have a product testing fact sheet posted on our
website at:
http://www.all-creatures.org/wlalw/fact-product.pdf The best places for events to target P&G are either
retail outlets (grocery/department stores such as Wal-Mart, etc.) where
P&G products are sold. Effective events can be anything from
leaflettting to full protests. P&G product dumps can also be effective.
The most recent facility list for P&G is at:

your internet browser. Remember, as long as consumers give their dollars to
companies like P&G, animals will continue to suffer. Please inform us of your participation in this event
as soon as possible, as it is rapidly approaching. You can use our
participation form at: Thank you in advance for your help. Michael A. Budkie, A.H.T.,
